- the game of the night belonged to the Wizards and Pistons who comibned for 61 personal fouls as the two teams went to double overtime as Washington took it one posession at a time to eke out the win in Detroit as they shut down the foul prone Pistons and their leading scorer Richard Hamilton limiting him to only 11 points on 4-15 shooting while getting a surprise offensive output from Chucky Atkins who went 6-7 from downtown
