the fragile ecosystem

After finally getting power back (5 days) after a freak storm passed thru the area downing trees over power lines and such but the weather since then has been pleasant so the time away from the routine (priorities change trust me) was a welcome change of pace (I am sure my son apreciated it-more time for him)

over that time well a few things have happened

  • NBA board of governors approved some rule changes: ie.) playoff seeding, timeouts, and playoff roster size
  • the NBA released the upcoming season schedule as well as what they consider to be the most interesting of matchups as some early preseason games outside of the U.S. beginning with the Sixers in Barcelona on October 5th and the official season getting under way on November 1st with an onslaught of 13 games on opening day
  • The Wizards signed Deshawn Stevenson leaving Jared Jeffries to go unmatched to the Knicks as they get set to lose some of their loose change
  • Al Harrington is still in limbo
  • the Bucks lose Jiri Welsch to Spanish league
  • Pargo goes to the travelling Hornets for some third stringin'
  • Reggie Evans wants to cash in
