No extension for Korolev

The LA Times are reporting that at season's end Yaroslav "Yarik" Korolev will be a free agent as the LA Clippers because of "cap management issues" declined to pick up the option on his contract ($1.72 last season / $1.96 million this season / $2.7 the next). In a pre-season game against the Warriors Korolev saw his way into the starting line-up at SG for 37 minutes and had his best game as a pro.

The Clippers however are not in a training "mood" and the 19 year old's talents and potential may never find an outlet on this present roster as the team tries to go with more experienced hustle players in James Singleton Quinton Ross and to a certain extent Tim Thomas. The Clippers injury prone roster is however leaving the door open just a crack and depending on his performance as Kevin at Clipperblog writes they may just:
