Missing in Action
Offering sneak peeks at their potential in the past many of the following are struggling to say the least and are borderline candidates for posterizing milk cartons:
- the New Jersey Net's offseason acquisition of Marc Jackson does not seem to be working out thus far as his minutes have gone down from 24 to 13 mpg therefore no surprise his points are dropping from 12 down to 5 ppg
- Jerome James is in limbo with 9 min per game (but cashing in those paycheques)
- Kendrick Perkins needs to find an offensive game in the chances he's getting, his minutes are up but the results are not
- Luke Jackson was the 10th overall pick in 2004 and seems to have no place in Cleveland and has alot to prove
- Tyson Chandler was given more responsibility by GM Paxson but is playing like he doesn't want any and has proven that he has no offensive skills
- Quentin Richardson seems to like the west coast better
- the Miami Heat certainly expected more production from James Posey
- Jared Jeffries has proven to be too soft for his size needs to get aggressive
- Antonio Daniels can't find his rhythm in the Washington offense
- Tim Thomas has disappeared
- Voshon Lenard's waiting for the Nuggets to release him
- Lorenzen Wright despite his lack of production the Grizz are still dangling him out there as trade bait
- whether its foul troubles or injuries hampering Stromile Swift he has had only one game that has matched the expectations coming into his free agent addition to the Rockets and that was back on Dec. 28 where he had 26pts and 13 rebs (and is now out with a scratched cornea that is now infected)
- Carlos Boozer must be cursed, ever since he backtracked on his promise to resign with the Cavs and dashed off to Utah instead he's played only 51 games for the Jazz and has yet to play this season sidelined with a "nagging" hamstring injury
- should any credit be given to the Cavaliers for having not yet given up on Damon Jones who suffice to say has simply not delivered this season, he most certainly was not brought in for his playmaking or passing but as a 3pt threat yet to date he's averaging 35% from beyond the arc
- the Clippers surely expected more from Chris Wilcox but he has yet to deserve the minutes and now with Zeljko Rebraca coming back from his irregular heartbeat his place on the greatly improved contending western conference team is surely in question
