look for JoHo to show his Mojo
Josh Howard has one year left on his rookie contract, if by the start of the season he remains unsigned he is slated to become a restricted free agent next year. The Dallas Morning News sent out a "feeler article" placing him within the price range of Tayshaun Prince's 5yr/$47.5 million contract, a fair estimate one would think but as Howard says:
"No disrespect to him," Howard said,
"but he doesn't do the same thing for Detroit that I do for Dallas"

So is there a difference between the two?

The two players play on teams that have a much different style of play so their roles and what is expected of them is very different, Howard will score, rebound and steal more than Prince but the blocks and assists favor Tayshaun. Josh has emerged as a scoring option for the Mavericks while Prince's role on the Pistons is more of a defensive closer. The biggest difference is in the number of games missed to injury. Tayshaun Prince is coming off three seasons in a row in which he has not missed a game while after his first three seasons Josh Howard missed 15 in his first, 6 in his second and 23 games in his most recent season.
Leaving the upcoming contract year an extremely important one for Howard, one that may settle any doubts and decide the market that a Josh Howard type of player coming into his prime may claim.
Or he could pull a Nene and walk straight to the bank despite any effort or possible disappointment that might affect his already soaring market value.
