drama in Philly

It seems every year a player holds their team ransom (Artest / VC etc..) because of their malcontent egoes. What is happening to the stars in the league is the off-season not long enough to work out their personal issues?

Charlotte is not the destination of choice for the Ai show

Only one team has a worse record to date than the 5-15 Bobcats and that's the Grizz at 5-16 so it's really no surprise that Iverson "nixed" a deal that would send him to Charlotte

Aldridge, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reminds the fans that:

In a sidebar to the trade story Webber shows concern for his soon to be ex-teammate:

In the meantime the Sixers need an All-Star in return for Iverson

need proof?

"Usually, a weeknight game
against a last-place team
such as Portland would not
draw well, but this was worse
than anything seen here
in recent years,
with or without Iverson"

Billy King, the Sixers GM has at least done the smart thing by placing Iverson on the inactive list while sniffing out the best possible scenario. It might hurt the team but it won't hurt Ai's value and will allow the team to get better look at the players in place.
